This Works

Normally, I'm not into framing baby things (maybe because I don't have kids), but this works perfectly. I think the dark lamps, the modern drapes, and the crisp lines of the dresser provide just enough contrast to make the baptism dress pop. And I love that it has a blue background, so it really becomes the focal point.

What a crazy busy week this has been. I went to visit my bff Rachel (an art teacher), and show her 5th period photography class my vintage cameras. Started a new painting (or two) Wednesday. And yesterday I worked as a veterinary receptionist (and got to see a Welsh Terrier in person! He was sooo cute! Just like a mini Case.) Oh, and I'm pretty sure I may need a new computer (it is taking forever to type this, plus one of our keys fell off).

I love the way books add warmth to a room. I think they are an essential layer to any style. You don't have to have a lot, just a few stacks here and there make the room feel more cozy.
