The Green Door Update
Since my last visit to The Green Door, it appears Amy has had quite a bit of turnover! (Even while I was there, she was busy painting new canvases and packing up items to ship out.) There were so many new and interesting things!
She had some beautiful new paintings!
And I'm pretty sure she stuck some burlap on this one for some really cool texture!
Love this dresser, which she jazzed up with some paint and shells!
Sandi and I really just wanted to hang out in the back of the store, where we found this beautiful sofa. That's a slipcover! So cozy and beautiful!
I just dying to have a pair of these light fixtures made from wind turbines (so creative!) in my house!
She always has such wonderful displays...
Loving that lobster!
And you never know what you'll see when you turn a corner!
Thanks for the inspiration and eye candy, Amy! Can't wait to see what you have on my next visit!

Florida Artist Justin Gaffrey
A few months ago, Sandi alerted me to a new artist she found -Justin Gaffrey. She can't get enough of him. Viewing some of his painting via a facebook link, I thought he was....ok. But Sandi continued to go on and on about how amazing he was, how she loved his subject matter and the beautiful texture with which he paints.
While in Florida last week on vacation (the reason I barely blogged at all), she found a couple of his paintings in a store in Apalachicola, Apalach Outfitters. Sandi was, of course, swooning. I went, a bit grudgingly, to see what she was going on about. Was I ever amazed! These are not the kind of paintings that can be viewed as a photograph. They have to be experienced. His trees and water come out of the painting, as if trying to engulf you. Well, turns out the owners of Apalach Outfitters consider him a dear friend. He lives barely 2 hours from there. No wonder Sandi was so taken with his subject matter - they're of her favorite beaches!
The lady at Apalach Outfitters told us that he had some painting up in the new airport in Panama City as well. I don't know how we missed them upon arrival, but I made sure to capture them before heading home. Enjoy!
Coming tomorrow: What has Amy at The Green Door been up to since my last visit?

Swoon...
If I could afford a set of luxury luggage (I don't travel near enough to need one), it would be these gorgeous handmade suitcases from Globe-Trotter.

Have you seen their new collection for JCrew?

Ralph Lauren Home for Fall
Looking through...um...one of my new magazines (can't remember which one as none have been too exciting yet this month...perhaps I should give them a second look..), I spotted a new advertisement for Ralph Lauren Home's fall line. Gorgeous! I was so inspired by this sofa, but since I can't buy it, I'll just dream about it....

Everything here is from Ralph Lauren Home, except the antlers, which is actually a mounting kit from Overstock! (Yeah, I want one! ...but I need antlers to mount....)
