Swimsuit Display

I've finally finished my newest project: the giant wall behind my couch! I got my inspiration from a pottery barn catalog and have since been collecting artifacts for the space.

My Inspiration

After I saw this, I called my grandma but unfortunately she couldn't locate one of her old swimsuits. So I turned to ebay where I found a wonderful red, white, and blue two-piece from the sixties. Then I got lucky when I found nautical charts in Apalachicola, FL, where I also got the giant sign. The black and white photos where a unique bargain find from Sandi!

So I put them all together:

I only wish the textures came out better in the picture. But I'm pleased!

At Blue in Appalachicola, FL, I discovered a great new artist.

Her name is Leslie Wallace, and she makes wonderful dogs! And sea creatures.

The display

The corgi I really wanted to buy

The other dog I really wanted.

Fancy and slightly odd poodle.

I finally got my pictures back from my new diana f+ camera! I only waited about 6 months to develop my first roll of film!

I'm so excited about the way they look! I can't wait to take my camera to the beach with me next week and see how the light and textures of my dog's fur change!

On a side note: Today is my wedding anniversary, which is why I get to go to the beach! I had a great thought this morning when I woke up. I really wanted to put on my wedding dress, but it is tucked away in a box. Then I thought, wouldn't it be great to frame my dress in a huge frame and use it as a headboard!
