Red Leather and a Newfie

I found this picture I took a while back of Sandi's beautiful red leather sofa (which she's had for years, so it has that beautiful aged look!) and Katie's beautiful Newfoundland, Izzie.

Organization

I bought these tray dividers from The Container Store in Little Rock.

And now the cabinet over my oven looks like this instead of a disheveled mess!

I even got 3 casserole dishes in there!

I made a book!

So I went to Hastings to see what I could get myself into. I found a great book called How to Make Books.

It looks fairly time consuming, but maybe sometime I'll try it.

Buildable Frame

I went to Hobby Lobby today and found a great poster, but it was a square. So I decided that today was the perfect day to try one of those sectional frames that you build yourself. It was surprisingly easy and I think it looks good too. It's not a thick frame, but I like how it is thin, simple, and a little modern. I hung it in my bathroom to try to cover up more of the awful wallpaper.

Katie's Wedding Shower

Katie's Shower was a success!



Map aireplanes hang from the chandelier, and the cupcakes have a little picture of Chris and Katie stuck in them!



Katie and her friends in the kitchen. Sandi, Piper's mom, and Piper in the formal living room (or, as I like to call it, the room of curiosities!).

Hanging out in the den (notice my great red chairs brought up for the party?!).

It was my first time to throw a shower, and I had a lot of fun!

Dogs and Globes

Wow! A dog (wire fox terrier, I might add!), a globe, and a cool chest!

Pottery Barn Study Space

I'm loving this study space at Pottery Barn Kids. It is actually a breakfast "nook" converted with desks and computers! (Notice the kitchen to the left.)

Feed Your Soul

I'm loving the new FREE printable art from the Feed Your Soul project! (Which I found via How About Orange!)



The only problem is trying to decide what to print and where to put it!

Fun With Maps

I finally finished my craft room wall. I had to go back to Clarksville to get more maps!

Now everything is organized and I can use the large square table in the middle of the room for actual projects!

And, remember the giant Anthropologie orb with maps made of paper airplanes all over it? I made my own! Much smaller version to use as a centerpiece for Katie's shower.
