I've been neglecting my beloved Zesty Nest blog lately, but I've been working on something very exciting! As it turns out, I'm having an art show(!!!!!) along with Jeannie Stone here in town at the River Valley Arts Center in April. I've been busy busy busy trying to finish my paintings. I have just one more to go and hopefully it will be dry by the show. So if you live in the area, please come check it out. The opening is April 1 from 1-3 pm, but the show will run for an entire month.
Our show flyer made by moi!
This is a series I'm titling "Speak to Me," which uses fashion (i.e. fascinators) to describe each dog's personality and represent the unspoken expectations they must have by how we treat them as equals in our families (seriously - I know my dog's must feel some sense of entitlement). Why "Speak to Me?" Well I forgot to mention that each dog is speaking. For example, the dog in my flyer is titled "They said there would be a sit-down meal, but all the served was light hors d'oeuvres." - Sadie. I'm very excited about these paintings and can't wait to show them off!
