I went to Lowe's this afternoon to pick up some painter's canvas (it makes great material for throw pillows, and I don't worry too much about the dogs hurting it), and I decided to take a stroll through the countertop department.
I start asking the lady working about pricing and how to get an estimate. She explains that I just pick out what I want, and she'll come out and measure.
So, long story short, I've got a lady from Lowe's coming to give me an estimate for new countertops on Monday! Yay!
So it's actually starting to happen. The transformation of my "blah" (and slightly non-functional) kitchen is in the early stages!!!
I'm not saying it will happen next week, but I'm reservedly hopeful.....because it COULD happen next month! or this year!

You deserve new countertops! The Queen of Orange Rolls and Pie Crusts should have lovely surfaces!
Yay for you!!! This will get the ball rolling and then it's all going to go from there...can't wait to see pics of the process!
