I hired myself to make throw pillows for the beach house. Ha! Sandi bought 2 blue canvas slipcovered sofas from Pottery Barn and the walls are yellow. So I made these nautical flag inspired throw pillows.
(Sorry for the bad picture quality. I had to take these with my phone.)
I put buttons on the back (because, while I have the ability to sew zippers, I don't always sew them on straight), and a little Zesty Nest label (yay for me!).
The tan material is the painter's drop cloth I mentioned before. I have 4 more pillows to make, but they'll be different. I'm using some images from vintage printable (I love that site!) for those!
Also, I have given my blog a little face lift. Not sure what I think yet, but the layout is still the same so you'll find all your favorite links in their usual spots.

Great job! The picture looks like it's out of a magazine...great styling!
Thanks, Cathryn! That's one of my favorite rooms in my house - it's where I keep all my coral!
Awesome job on these pillows!! Love the buttons too. And so true..., vintage printable is a great source!
Thanks, Maya! I ordered some 11 x 17 iron-on transfer paper so I can put big graphics (think crab, sting rays, owl, and a sea turtle) on some larger pillows! I'm so excited about those - and my paper just came in today!
loving the pillows!!! Make extras!
Extras?!?!? I'll have to go get more fabric! But I did have a great time making these...so, maybe!
